Enjoy an unforgettable and unique experience this coming weekend during Steam and Sleighs<\/em> at the WW&F Railway.<\/p>\n

Ride our Railway’s steam-powered Sheepscot Valley Winter Service trains and enjoy a horse-drawn sleigh (or wagon) ride, a visit to the farm, backcountry cross country skiing, snowshoeing, winter hiking, and more at our station stops along your journey.<\/p>\n

Our train will take you to “Top of the Mountain” where it will be met by a horse-drawn sleigh to bring you to SeaLyon Farm, LLC<\/a> where a plethora of goods will be available for perusal and purchase including lavender products!<\/p>\n

At the farm, be sure to purchase a slice or two of Blazing Tomato Pizza<\/a> for lunch!<\/p>\n

Creamed Baking Co.<\/a> will also be at the farm selling their decadent caramels, baked goods, and S’More’s kits to roast over the bonfire!<\/p>\n

Tickets include train fare, sleigh rides, hot beverages & access to skiing, hiking, and snowshoeing trails. (Purchases at SeaLyon Farm, LLC<\/a> are by individual settlement.)<\/p>\n

Train tickets are $10.00 adults; $9.00 60+, museum members, and military (active and veteran); $5.00 children 4-12; Free children birth-3.\u00a0\u00a0Tickets are available by advance sale at https:\/\/wwfrytickets.simpletix.com\/e\/48757<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hurry!\u00a0 Our Saturday trains are nearly sold out!<\/em><\/p>\n

Any tickets not reserved in advance will be available the day of the event.<\/p>\n

Trains leave from Sheepscot Station (97 Cross Rd. Alna) to Top of the Mountain Station and return.<\/p>\n

At Top of Mountain detrain for horse-drawn sleigh rides (to\/from SeaLyon Farm, LLC<\/a>), self-guided snowshoeing, backcountry X\/C, hiking and to explore the work the railway is undertaking on the mountain extension, a .75 mile extension of the railway to a new station adjacent to Midcoast Conservancy<\/a>‘s beautiful Trout Brook Preserve. For your convenience, a heated railcar and attendant will be on hand to help direct you. There are no facilities at this remote location, (outside of those offered at SeaLyon Farm.) Allocate 90 minutes of layover time to ride the sleigh, visit the farm, and enjoy the outdoor activities.<\/p>\n

Trains for Steam and Sleighs at the Top of the Mountain leave Sheepscot Station (97 Cross Road, Alna) at 10:30 AM, 12 noon, and 1:30 PM. (An additional 3:00 PM train will pick up guests; visitors are welcome for a train ride only at 3:00 PM.)<\/p>\n

Trains depart Top of the Mountain for the return back to Sheepscot Station at 11:00, 12:30, 2:00, and 3:30.<\/p>\n

Tickets are valid for round trip passage to and from Sheepscot Station and include access to all of the day’s activities. Should you desire a longer layover at Top of the Mountain, you may return on any subsequent train. Please order tickets in advance via the link provided.<\/p>\n

Steam and Sleighs will be held Snow or Shine. In the event of poor driving or unsuitable conditions for the horses, the event will be canceled (announced via Facebook and email) with tickets refunded. Steam train rides will still occur on schedule. Come dressed prepared for the weather. If you care to engage in outdoor activities, please bring your own skis, snowshoes, or outdoor gear.<\/p>\n
