The entire experience takes just under 3 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Ticket price ($25 per person for adults, senior, youth and group\/caboose rates available) includes all transportation (historic steam train and tractor wagon ride) as well as parking at Sheepscot. <strong><em>Dinner, refreshments, lavender stalks, horse wagon rides, and other farm products are sold separately by SeaLyon Farm and their partners.<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Note that due to the nature of this event, wheelchairs can not be accommodated.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to lavender picking, activities and vendors at SeaLyon farm will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Farm Store will be selling jams, salsas, lavender products, kettle popcorn, baked goods, the best whoopie pies in Maine and other tasty treats, crochet items, and handmade jewelry.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/grandpassmokedmeats\">Grandpa&#8217;s Kitchen<\/a>\u00a0with locally-sourced meats (sausages, bacon, etc.), with vegetarian options available &#8211; however, please request in advance!<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mainetastingcenter.com\/\">Maine Tasting Center<\/a> will be offering a selection of Maine-made wine, beer, mead, and cider.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.roundtopicecream.com\/\">Round Top Ice Cream<\/a> has created a Lavender ice cream flavor &#8211; using lavender harvested from SeaLyon Farm &#8211; which will be on sale.<\/li>\n<li>Horse Drawn Wagon Rides for a tour of the Farm!<\/li>\n<li>Outdoor games of cornhole, checkers, and tic-tac-toe.<\/li>\n<li>A porta potty and hand washing station.<\/li>\n<li>And, did we mention\u00a0<strong><em>lavender picking!<\/em><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will be an approximately 90 minute layover to pick lavender, enjoy the farm, and get a bite to eat before the narrow gauge train returns you to Sheepscot station.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, pets can not be accommodated during this special event.<\/p>\n<p>The special\u00a0<em>Lavender Pickin&#8217; Dinnertime Train to SeaLyon Farm<\/em> train departs Sheepscot station (97 Cross Road, Alna) promptly at 2:00pm, 4:00pm and 6:00pm.<\/p>\n<p>We look forward to seeing you on the narrow gauge!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<script src=\"https:\/\/fareharbor.com\/embeds\/script\/calendar\/wwfry\/items\/306065\/?fallback=simple&flow=420374\"><\/script>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>OMG BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Your group (of up to 15 people) gets exclusive access to the &#8220;little red caboose&#8221; on the WW&amp;F railway during the trip to and from the farmstand activities near Top of Mountain station.<\/p>\n<p>And yes, you can ride &#8220;up top&#8221; in the cupola (although adults will need to watch their heads!)<\/p>\n<p>The Caboose Adventure is $250 (which includes group admission to the farm and being seated completely separately from other passengers during the train ride.)<\/p>\n<p>NOTE: Caboose Adventurers must return on their scheduled departure from\u00a0<em>Top of Mountain<\/em>\u00a0station and can not enjoy an extended layover at the farm. (Otherwise the caboose will be forfeited and your group seated with the other passengers.)<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>Sunset Special<\/h2>\n<p>The 6pm departure of the\u00a0<em>Lavender Pickin&#8217; Dinnertime Train to SeaLyon Farm<\/em>\u00a0is timed so that your return from the farm will occur during sunset.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>About SeaLyon Farm<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sealyonfarm.com\/\">SeaLyon Farm<\/a>\u00a0is situated is beautifully situated amongst the rolling woods and fields of Alna just south of Head Tide and adjacent to the WW&amp;F&#8217;s\u00a0<em>Top of Mountain<\/em>\u00a0station. The WW&amp;F Railway partners with SeaLyon Farm throughout the year on a variety of excursions including Steam &amp; Sleighs, Eastertime Eggspress, Lavender Pickin&#8217; Dinnertime Trains, Pumpkin Pickin&#8217; Trains, and Christmastime Trains.<\/p>\n<h2>About Grandpa&#8217;s Kitchen<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/grandpassmokedmeats\">Grandpa&#8217;s Specialty Smoked Meats<\/a>\u00a0are done the old fashioned way. Some products are handcrafted over 3 weeks from start to finish &#8211; including their famous hand-stuffed sausages. Meats are smoked anywhere from 2-14 hours. Grandpa&#8217;s meats are shipped all over the world from their facility in Belfast, Maine.<\/p>\n<p>While menu items for this event are subject to change, choices typically include smoked chicken, steak dogs, and homemade stuffed sausages. And bacon; real bacon. Vegetarian options should be requested in advance.<\/p>\n<h2>About Maine Tasting Center<\/h2>\n<p>Explore Maine&#8217;s iconic food and drink industries, producers and the associations that represent them at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mainetastingcenter.com\/\">Maine Tasting Center<\/a>. Their welcoming campus in Wiscasset is your one-stop-shop for learning about &#8211; and sampling! &#8211; the most delicious food and drink products Maine has to offer. Visitors are encouraged to sign up for a class in the Learning Center, visit the Tasting Room for beer, wine, cocktails and small plates, or drop in for a special event.<\/p>\n<h2>About Round Top Ice Cream<\/h2>\n<p>Round Top Ice Cream locally made in Damariscotta Maine since 1924 enjoys partnering with other Maine businesses to create new flavors. Owner Stephanie Poland is using the lavender from SeaLyon Farm, LLC to make lavender ice cream for the Lavender Pickin&#8217; Dinnertime Train to SeaLyon Farm. Round Top creates over 60 flavors of homemade ice cream in its Damariscotta location and has been family owned for 40 years.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2>About the Weather and Cancellations<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0<em>Lavender Pickin&#8217; Dinnertime Train to SeaLyon Farm<\/em>\u00a0will run rain or shine (please dress accordingly.)
